Paving the 5" of base course. This was a long day of difficult paving. The traffic was very heavy, slowing the progress down, which blocked the traffic, which slowed the paving, which blocked the traffic....etc..
The new bridge has the same curved alignment as the old bridge, but the North end is seven feet higher. There are three lights on each side that look like the other Main Street lights. The bridge rail is called Texas Rail. It's concrete with Gothic shaped window slots. The intersection at route 12A was rebuilt similar to what it was before the project started. Even the grass Island. Prince Street curves under the bridge like it used to, but is a much wider curve.
